Monday Book Club - Charlestown Library 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM (Ends: 2 December, 2019) Charlestown Library - first Monday of every month (excluding school holidays) Jul 2 Read and Rhyme Time - Edgeworth Library 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM (Ends: 17 December, 2019) Edgeworth Library - weekly every Tuesday (excluding school holidays). Charlestown Library is our largest and busiest library, refurbished with a dynamic children’s area mural. It’s vibrant contemporary space aspires people to meet, acquire knowledge and share experiences.
- Membership is free.
- Residents and non-residents of Lake Macquarie can join.
- Access all of our collections and services with one card.
- Join online (below) or join over the counter at any Lake Mac Libraries' branch.
- Bring along identification with your name and current address to complete your application.
- Under 16? Ask a parent of legal guardian to come with your and make sure they bring identification.

Membership Conditions
- You can borrow 40 items.
- Loan periods are four weeks for most items, or two weeks for popular items such as new titles, magazines, DVDs and CDs.
- Items can be borrowed and returned to any Lake Mac Libraries’ branch.
- Items can be reserved for free.
Online Member Services
Manage your Library account online where you can:
- Extend the loan period of borrowed items.
- View your loan history and currently borrowed items.
- View and cancel reservations.
- Request an item, or reserve an item via our online catalogue.
- You must be 18 years and over to join online.
- You can borrow 40 items.

3D Printing
- 3D printers are located at Cardiff Library and Belmont Library
- The printer at Cardiff can build models up to 13cm x 13cm x 13cm. The larger printer at Belmont Library can print up to 25 cm x 20cm x 20cm.
- Printing costs $1.30 per ten minutes of use.
- Create your own design online or download a pre-made model. Bring your 3D model into the Library on a USB flash drive - saved in the STL file format to be compatible with our printer.
- Find inspiration at Thingiverse and design tools at Tinkercad and Google SketchUp.
Computers and Internet Access
Visit any of our branches to access free WiFi and use our public access internet computers.
Printing, Scanning and Photocopying
Print from our public access computers, scan documents to an email address or copy documents at any of our branches.
Home Library
The Home Library Service is a free delivery service provided to people who are unable to visit the Library themselves. This service is for people who:
- Have a temporary or permanent disability.
- Cannot visit the Library due to illness.
- Do not have someone that can visit the library on their behalf.
The Home Library team will select, deliver and collect your Library materials on a monthly schedule. You will need to provide a medical certificate to support your application.

Login
- To login to your library account online you'll need your Borrower ID on your library card, and your PIN.
- Your Borrower ID is the number beneath the barcode on the front of your library card.
- Once logged in you can request and renew items, check your current loans, change your PIN, create lists and more.
- Forgotten your password? No problem, find out how to reset your password.
Renew
Charlestown Ma Public Library
- You can renew items through your library online account, or by phoning or visiting any Lake Mac Libraries' branch.
- Items can be renewed up to three times as long as they aren't already reserved by someone else.
Reserve
- If an item is on loan, or at another branch, you can reserve it.
- You can reserve an item online, or by phoning or visiting any of our library branches.
- To reserve an item online first find it in the online catalogue then tick the checkbox to the left of the title and click the 'Reserve Selections' button near the top of the page.
- Alternatively you can click on the title to view more details about the item, and then click the 'Place Reservation' button near the top of the page.
- There is no fee for using this service.

Fees and charges
Charlestown Nh Library
- View all Lake Mac Libraries' fees and charges.
- Overdue fees are charged per item per day (from the 8th day after the due date).
- Maximum overdue fee per item is $10.00.
- No fees applies for juniors, institutions or Home Library.
- Lake Mac Libraries will consider a reduction in late fees up to a maximum 50% for customers in circumstances of hardship. All requests must be received in writing, supporting documentation may be requested.
- Depending upon the balance of outstanding fees, borrowing privileges may be withdrawn.
